About the Book
Joe Rooney is sent to a parish whose pastor is accused of molesting children and nuns. His defense from the asylum is that the parish is infested with demons. In other words "the devil made him do it."
Joe Rooney and the woman he loves are locked in a struggle with cruel and unrelenting demons that are human, psychological, and supernatural. They desperately need each other in order to survive their respective ordeals, but any contact between them is forbidden. Joe Rooney is a Catholic priest. Their ordeals begin an agonizing and terrifying process in which they must reevaluate the meaning of their lives and value systems.
About the Author
Mary Bowers received her undergraduate degree at Saint Mary?s College, and her graduate degree from the University of Notre Dame in South Bend, Indiana. She has taught in Catholic schools for twentyone years. She lives with her husband outside of Washington, D.C.
