About the Book
A collection of stories and poems by twelve creative writers, Freefalling-Writing Without Limits is also a permission-giving book about the writing process. Since many readers may also be potential writers, they can find inspiration here. Authors share powerful pieces of creative nonfiction, memoir, fiction and poetry, and themes encompass personal experiences that become universal. Using their own works as examples, each of the writers and editor, Margo LaGattuta, MFA, suggest writing prompts and offer craft suggestions for beginning or more advanced writers. LaGattuta, winner of the Mark Twain Award, teaches writing at University of Michigan. There are also sections with thoughts for editing and creating assignments with a thematic base.
