About the Book

What lesson does life teach you if you don't listen? How do you learn if you don't read? The words in these poems are from a person who has lived, laughed, learned and loved. The words reflect a sense of self-awareness while hoping to entice you to read and listen as you travel with her to the past and back again. Poetry narrating the journey on a road from the heart with the final destination determined by you.

About the Author

Lucille is a native of Asheville, North Carolina. She attended the only African-American high school ever built in the community. She retired as an early childhood education teacher; volunteers in her church and with other civic organizations. She is a cancer survivor twice and serves as a spokesperson for the organization.
