It was 1951. Ben found himself on a cold army bus loaded with draftees bound for Fort Knox. War Clouds hovered over them on that bleak January day.

Then he met Julie on a blind date at a circus. Their life together actually became a circus as they lived, loved and laughed in "gay-nineties" style near the Post.

About the Author

Lee Jacoby was a natural to journalism and won many awards for her coverage of major events.

Her handsome husband was a Fort Knox warrior in 1951 and Mrs. Jacoby remembers that experience they shared with laughter and tears.

Now a book author, her fourth is in progress.
