Africalogical Perspectives is a scholarly journal that focuses on the historical and contemporary analysis of race and Africana Studies. Africalogical Perspectives is a peer-review journal that considers the work of Afrocentric social scientists, theorists, and other cutting-edge scholars in the discipline of Black Studies.

Katherine Bankole Medina has served as editor of Africalogical Perspectives for four years. She is an associate professor of history at West Virginia University.
