Her mentor and resource teacher, John Cordray, leads her on a journey of understanding, uncovering the true meaning of education. Cordray educates Kelly by uneducating her, and in so doing, she will come to realize what education really means.

About the Author

John McEwan first started teaching in a tough, west Chicago neighborhood. He would go on to teach English in Slovakia and Japan. For the past fifteen years he has taught at a middle school in Kentucky. He has a master's degree in education and been honored with several teaching awards.
