About the Book

Even though life looked easy for Jada Patrice Howard, it was all a shameful façade. Growing up in Augusta, Georgia, with her parents and siblings, Jada endured a horrific home life of abuse, deceit, and betrayal.

With remarkable candor, Jada tells of being sexually abused by her father, watching the spousal abuse between her parents, and feeling manipulated by those around her. Jada began to question her sexuality when she entered puberty and entered into several gay relationships. After she graduated high school, she landed a job with a government agency and was pursued by her supervisor, eventually ending up pregnant and alone. However, Jada didn't let her past dictate her future, and she called on her strength and determination to raise her child and forge a life for herself.

About the Author

Jada Patrice Howard was born in St. Petersburg, Florida. She lived in Augusta, Georgia, where she graduated from high school. Howard is currently attending St Petersburg College in St Petersburg, Florida.
