A missing-person case opens in Masonville, North Carolina, on April 9, 1975. Christine Wild, a local married woman, is never found. Thirty years later, the lives of three men intersect in the search for answers: an author searching for a new story, a retired judge looking for closure, and a rural-county police detective wanting to clear the case from the books.

About the Author

J. Clyde Carpenter has a bachelor of science degree in business administration. He was inspired to write Cold Trail by his experiences working in the transportation industry. This is Carpenter?s first book.
