About the Book
What if time travel was possible? What if you could go back to a more innocent time? What if you could be seventeen again? What if it were the seventies again and leisure suits and disco was in? Tragedy brings four friends together to Highland, Minnesota where they grew up in the summer of 2007. They were the class of 1979 and they found themselves wishing they could go back to a simpler time. The teen angst they felt back then paled in comparison to the atrocities they witnessed as adults. They had a chance to be seventeen again and they seized it. They relive the innocence of their youth as they read a diary that was written during their senior year at Highland High School. Suddenly Charlie's Angel's was on TV again and girls were coating their lips with giant Bonne Bell Lipsmackers to look like them. The local radio station played hits from movies like Saturday Night Fever and Grease and the world was theirs for the taking.
About the Author
Irene grew up in the seventies and being seventeen was the magic number that signaled the coming of age. During the seventies the country was in turmoil but like all seventeen-year-olds of any generation, we only remember the best times. Irene lives in Colorado with her dog Noel.
