About the Book

AiDa, a mature and insightful monkey, and his brother, Doochee, a playful bear, live in the middle of San Francisco, thousands of miles away from China, the land of their birth. They make plans to return to China and visit their grandmother. When they finally arrive, their grandmother's magical powers help her to share her simple wisdom regarding Eastern and Western culture with her grandsons.

During their visit, AiDa and Doochee have conversations about life and childhood worries. Their grandmother shows them parts of the world meant to open their hearts and minds to a more spiritual view of people and life.

Life and Times of AiDa and Doochee is about growing up and learning to understand and appreciate different cultures. Together, the brothers discover the secrets to life and the beginnings of exciting adventures to come.
