INTRODUCTION
Awakening the Memory
Deep in our unconscious, we know we’re capable of
attaining perfection. This unconscious knowing works
out as aspiration. We aspire to do, to have, and to be all
that we are meant to be. We set an objective, consciously
or unconsciously, and then strive to reach that objective.
For instance, one of the first goals we unconsciously set for
ourselves early in life may be that of finishing a minimum
level of schooling, such as high school. By the time we’re
halfway through high school, we may begin to consciously
consider the goals we want to accomplish in our life after
high school. Upon reaching our first objective, we move on to
bigger and better dreams. We’re often surprised to find that
our newer goals are not as easy to reach as our earlier ones.
Growing up in the world of form, with its enforced duties
and responsibilities, strips us of the innocence and trust in our
own creative ability so evident in our youth. We’re constantly
told what to think, how to act, and why we should do what
we’re told. By the time we’re fully grown, we’re steeped in the
world of the senses. Thus, we’re no longer in tune with our
natural gifts of inspiration. We set goals, hoping to achieve the
perfection of which we unconsciously know we’re capable.
We try a range of goal-setting methods. One “surefire”
method called for writing down our goals and pinning up the
sheet where it was clearly visible. The bathroom mirror
and refrigerator door were favorite places. We read over
our goals every morning before we went to work and every
night before we went to bed. We likely repeated various
affirmations of success for the achievement of our goals.
Sometime later we reached up and, with a sigh of resignation,
tore off the sheet and threw it in the trash can. We were no
nearer our goals then, than the day we taped that sheet to our
refrigerator door. We didn’t succeed in our goals because we
had forgotten how to use the natural laws to create success in
our life and affairs
This is the lifetime we chose to awaken the memory.
Success in realizing your goals comes from knowing
the natural laws and learning how to apply them in order
to pull your plan into your physical world. Natural laws
are universal laws. They are higher laws that govern every
aspect of life throughout the universe. Natural laws are the
ultimate laws of creation. They supercede all man-made laws
which only apply on planet Earth and which often vary from
country to country. By contrast, the same natural laws apply
to all beings in all the planets in all solar systems in every
galaxy in the universe.
In Radical Goal Setting, I introduce a scientific method of
achieving your goals based on the principles contained in the
universal laws that govern their manifestation. I explain the
applicable laws and show how to apply them for successful
goal setting and manifesting. I acquaint you with spiritual
exercises to help you awaken the memory that you are God’s
child, created in His image. You will know, without a doubt,
that since God’s power is limitless, you too have the strength
to overcome all obstacles that stand in the way of attaining
your dreams.
Many creative thinkers of our day have brought us highly
powerful messages on attracting wealth and prosperity...
people like Michael Losier, Esther and Jerry Hicks, Leo Shriver,
Rich Cavaress and James Arthur Ray, among others. In
essence, their message dealt with the Law of Attraction,
how to attract more of what you want and less of what you
don’t want. No doubt the messages they brought influenced
scores of individuals in their search for spiritual and material
success. My message is no less powerful. It grew out of a
personal experience with goal setting that was nothing short
of a miracle.
At the time, I was experiencing some major lifestyle
changes. They began with a serious illness that developed
from a formaldehyde exposure on my job, moved on to a
divorce, and finally ended with me packing up my house
and moving up from Florida to Georgia. When I arrived in
Georgia, I stayed with my daughter and son-in-law. Soon
after, the extent of my situation began to sink in. My plan was
to purchase a house as soon as I was settled. But one question
kept popping up: “How will I qualify for a loan?” I wasn’t
working. Due to my job-related accident I was judged totally
disabled and hadn’t worked for seven years at the time.
What’s more, I was short on cash for a down payment since
my home in Florida wasn’t yet sold.
These questions and concerns caused me a great deal of
anxiety—until the day I made a conscious decision to cast out
all doubt and fear from my mind. In that moment I felt an
intuitive urge to start a goal-setting exercise, and the seeds
of Radical Goal Setting were born. I thought about what I
wanted to achieve, wrote it down, visualized it and handed
it over to the universe. I cannot explain how, but the anxiety
completely disappeared and all I knew was that I had perfect
faith in the outcome. Next I called in a realtor. The first day
I went house hunting, I saw a house I liked. Less than two
months later I closed on a mortgage. All during that time I
kept up the visualization. Twice a day, every day, I pictured
myself already in my new home, with everything happening
exactly as I wished it to happen.
Did I experience a miracle? What are miracles but the will
of God perfect every moment! Miracles are happening in and
through us all the time. A Course in Miracles says there’s no
order of difficulty in miracles—one is not harder or bigger
than another. When we learn the principle behind the little
miracles, the big miracles become just as possible. Most of us
spend lifetime upon lifetime blocking the flow of miraculous
energy. We may believe it is possible to perform miracles, but
until now it has only been a belief held in the mind. We only
need to get our little self (the personal ego) out of the way and
allow the miracles to manifest.
We’ve all had times when everything seemed to flow
perfectly. That’s because we’ve activated that place within
us that understands this principle, though we did so more
or less unconsciously. Now all we have to do is consciously
focus that energy and direct it to what we want in our lives.
This entails knowing the laws of the universe, the laws of
conscious life.
I’ve enlarged upon my original goal-setting technique to
develop a scientific, spiritual approach to goal setting that,
when applied as directed, works every time. The lessons
presented here show how to awaken your divine potential
in order to pull into your world whatever you desire. When
you hold to the principles as directed, it’s impossible for your
plan not to come into your physical world. Listed below are
some of the benefits you’ll derive from these lessons.
You will:
• understand that your thoughts affect your reality
• know how to create a new reality by changing your
thought pattern

intentions
