About the Book

Linwood Detweiler is a retired pastor with a remarkable memory, a deep concern for the spiritual welfare of others, and a profound love for the Lord and for His Word.

As a boy and as a young man, Linwood Detweiler broke the Ten Commandments despite knowing the difference between right and wrong. He had a vicious temper. In his own strength, he was moving towards a career in professional baseball, and a life of sin.

Then, convicted of his need for a personal Savior, he made a decision for Christ that profoundly changed his path. His training for baseball was abandoned in favor of training for sharing the Gospel. In the strength of the Lord, he reached the lives of many as a pastor and as an evangelist.

Rev. Detweiler's life-story serves as an inspiration to others and demonstrates how one life, changed by Christ, can result in untold numbers of other lives, changed by Christ.

About the Author

Dr. Jewson is a retired Internal Medicine specialist who tried to listen to people carefully throughout his professional career. His passion now is helping others find their voice to share their vibrant and life-transforming faith for the furtherance of the Gospel. His previous book was A Life of Faith: My Journey with Elsie Moses Huck Detweiler. Dr. Jewson and his wife live by the side of a lake in Minnesota.
