About the Book

My Hidden Notebook is a collection of poems for people who normally do not read poetry. You won't find traditional poems in nice formats. These are poems without measure and songs without music. Begun at 16, the author spent nearly 8 years piecing together these poems inspired by true-life events and the concepts that came to him through a wide range of experiences. The dark poem "The 90's Disease" deals with the degradation of youth society and violence in schools while the light poem "Andros Dreamin'" leaves the reader with a mood for a cool beer and a beach front view. There are poems about love and hope and poems about despair and misery. This truly is an all-encompassing volume of work.

About the Author

Darrell E. Fawley, III attended the United States Military Academy where he majored in languages and earned a commission as an officer in the US Army Infantry. He currently serves in Iraq as an Anti-Armor Platoon Leader.
