About the Book

Within these pages are 35 years of writing covering the life of a Vietnam veteran and a common man. The writings include the ups and downs, the joys and sorrows, and the seeking of answers to the questions of life. The writings comment and explore chivalry, his child, his love for his wife, philosophy of life, questions about the universe. No sex, no violence, no foul language, just simple, easy to read poetry and short stories.

About the Author

Danny L Shanks was born in West Helena Arkansas, the youngest of six children. He lived his early years in Georgia, went to Vietnam at age 20, returned and married his wife at age 21. They had one child, a daughter. He now resides in Washington State.
