The Girl in My Parents' Basement

About the Book

This collection of poetry provides a unique view of poet finding her own voice. It is the record of her journey from elementary school into college. Each poem shows not only the progression of talent, but also the evolution of her mind. It is through such poems like In the Basement and The Gun-waver that Celestial Rose truly proves that she has indeed become the word-weaver.

About the Author

Celestial Rose was raised in the suburbs of Chicago. She has an English degree from Concordia University in River Forest and is currently pursuing a MLIS degree from Dominican University. While she has had success with various poems throughout her journey, this is the first time she has pursued it.
