Brooke Rollins was born into a family with dark and terrible secrets. She escapes into the arms of a friend who promises love and protection. Instead she finds even darker secrets and more physical abuse than she could ever imagine.

Emotionally broken and drained, she finds refuge in a handsome cowboy named Chris Williams who takes her away from the pain. But dark forces have their own agenda for Brooke, and the one person she tried desperately to escape from, has come to take her back.

Set in the backdrop of the Tennessee Mountains and the rugged plains of Texas, Brooke once again escapes after a tragic incident, only to find that Chris has moved on. Broken once again, Brooke moves to California to also start a new life. She finds romance with a new man, but can't let go of the only person she has ever loved.

But the new man also betrays her trust and she's suddenly plunged into an emotional state of shock, not ever knowing if Chris and her will be together again.

Bonnie Pace lives in Easley, South Carolina with her husband Danny and their two beautiful daughters, Hannah and Kayla. In her spare time, when she?s not thinking about or writing her next novel, she enjoys music. It is often the inspiration in all her stories. Especially the love songs.
