About the Author

Ann Birstein is the author of nine books. Her shorter work has appeared in The New Yorker, the New York Times, Vogue, and other publications. Her grants and honors include a Fulbright Fellowship and an NEA. She has taught and lectured throughout the United States, Europe, and Israel. But New York, where she was born, will always be her hometown.
