About the Author

Athiqul Laskar has climbed 27 Himalayan peaks and has risked his life in several climbing events. He has been instructor of Kufri Skiing Club, Simla, Adventure Mountaineering Institute, Darjeeling, Founder President of Kansas University Mountaineering Association, Kansas, USA, Shillong Alpine Club, Shillong, India, and has been a college professor at Bergen Country College, New Jersey. He has traveled extensively in Europe, Russia, Asia, and North America promoting mountaineering adventures. He worked and travelled with the late Mother Theresa in her charity works. He also wrote and published articles and has published books to his credit.
