About the Book

Finding Your. Way In Amsterdam is a novel about the "coming of age" of a twenty nine year old, unemployed teacher and frustrated writer, named Scott Clark, who embarks upon a wild trip to Amsterdam and winds up finding peace and a true understanding about life.

Accompanying Scott on this escapade are his old friend Chris, an "empty suit" and Tommy, one of Chris's college buddies, who the guys meet in a London bar, while on route to Amsterdam.

However, while Scott's initial feelings were the more the merrier, he quickly realizes that Tommy's mysterious presence in London and his ambiguous behavior in Amsterdam mask a dark secret that will not only reveal itself during the course of the trip, but will change Scott's life forever.

Timothy Carr currently lives in Manhattan and plans to return to Amsterdam one day.
