About the Book

David had everything he ever wanted. He was married to the girl of his dreams and he was at the beginning of a satisfying career as a college professor. Life couldn't have been better. Maybe he had some emotional baggage he'd be better off without, but, then, who didn't? He could handle it. He was in charge. He had it under control.

Then, without warning, things changed. His life took a hundred-and-eighty degree turn and his world began to crumble, no matter how hard he tried to shore it up. When he thought it couldn't get worse, he found himself at the bottom of a well of physical and emotional torment, longing for the peace of death, yet, struggling to hold onto life. And through all of it, the question plagued him-why me?

About the Author

This is a story that I have felt compelled to write, and, to me, answers a basic question: why are we here? It has been a labor of love for a number of years.

Wendie Gingrich Zearfoss has lived in Westminster, MD, with her husband, Joe for 18 years and enjoys sewing and, of course, writing.
