About the Book
Jim Waring's life is bound up with two women. During the course of the book he meets Mary during a rafting trip. The story moves to Madeira, North Africa and the East End of London. He makes an enemy of a police chief's thuggish son whose revenge takes him to a mental hospital. He meets Becky after his house is set on fire. The first love dies, leaving a daughter.
By the end of the book he is reunited with his daughter and discovers who Becky really is.
About the Author
The author is British, a retired librarian and lives in Wales. He has written this novel against a background of life in the East End of London, holidays in Scotland, Madeira and North Africa and utilizing memories of a stay in a mental hospital.
