About the Author

S. Davey says he was ?whelped under a bandstand??somewhere in West Virginia around 1930. ?It was those catchy concert rhythms that must?ve shaped my taste for poetry and verse.? After careers in music, chemistry, sports, and the Navy, he now concentrates on improving the state of the art of the limerick. His pet Chesapeake Bay Retriever ate the first draft of Tikklings, got violently ill, and ran away, never to be heard from since.
