About the Book
Three Shades of Blackness is a fiction novel, which depicts the story of three girls from different backgrounds as they become friends and grow up together.
Shayna is abandoned by her mother and when Mrs. Andrews takes her in, she enrolls her in a religious summer program. There she meets Tanya, a preacher's child, and Mercides, who is from a wealthy background. Although they are from vastly different families, they become fast friends.
Three Shades of Blackness offers a tale in which the author combines unique family relationships, loyalty among friends and faith in the Lord in the lives of three girls who must deal with the highs and lows of adolescence as well as more adult choices.
About the Author
Olive Lewis has worked with youth and young adults for 13 years. She resides in Decatur, GA, with her sister and mother. She enjoys writing, drawing and woodworking and is a published poet. She received the International Poet of the Year awards in 2002, 2003 and 2004. She just recently had a short devotional thought published in a woman?s devotional book called Colors of Grace.
