About the Book

Short Stories for Rainy Days is a wide variety of stories, ranging from the Bayou to New York City and beyond.

Belle's lived on the Bayou for most of her life, and likes it there. Some people think that it's dull in the swampland, but not her. She thinks that there's a lot of life and mystery out in the Bayou. Like the time that the escaped murderer came through

Marta's world has been turned upside down. More than once. Living in Germany as World War II rages, Marta must learn to cope as all normalcy dissolves. If that wasn't enough, she must learn a new way of life in a new country, a new language, and a new culture.

Ginnie and Vicky are both having problems. One is shipwrecked, and the other is stuck for the summer in a place she'd rather not be. Both must help each other, in ways that they don't understand, crossing the barrier of time itself.
