About the Book
Kate liked her job as supervisor in the local hospital but it was necessary to get away occasionally and relax. She had accepted an offer from a doctor she knew to use his cabin in New Hampshire for two weeks.
As she turned onto the dirt road leading to the cabin, she saw an old truck in a roadside ditch. She stopped to see if there was anyone in it and found an elderly man slumped across the steering wheel. She helped him into her car and drove him to the cabin, made him comfortable on the sofa and started a fire in the fireplace.
She then called the sheriff. The man was identified, and his son Keith came by to get him. As he got out of his sports car and walked up the walk to the cabin, both Kate and Keith were immediately attracted to one another.
