Joan is a professional barrel racer and team roping, having been involved in rodeo and training of horses and dogs for over 40 years. She is a Country Gospel singer, songwriter, and speaker and has traveled for several years singing and speaking. She lives on a ranch with her husband of 43 years. The mother of 3, she is the grandmother of 6.
