A young adult novel of adventure, ‘Wolf’s Head Bay-The Journey Home’, follows the exploits of eighteen-year-old Jeremy Hodak and his nine-year-old brothers, identical twins Travis & Matthew, living in northern Michigan.

On the eve of eighteen-year-old Jeremy's departure for college, a violent August storm sweeps across northern Lake Michigan. In its path lay the town of Wolf's Head Bay. The following day, christened in bright sunshine, Jeremy and his younger brother, Travis, set sail for South Manitou Island, aboard their single mast sloop, the Lady Caroline Slicing through whitecaps, approaching the island, the Lady Caroline is rocked by a shuddering impact. Jeremy tumbles from the cockpit and into the cabin where he lay unconscious. When he awakens, he makes a horrifying discovery; Travis was thrown overboard! After the accident, Jeremy agonizes; did he hit Devil's Point, a dangerous reef off the southern tip of the island? Travis' twin, Matthew, wonders too, blaming Jeremy for what happened to their brother.

The following December when Jeremy comes home from school for Christmas, Matthew makes a startling announcement. Travis wants to come home! Adding to the mystery, a stranger arrives in Wolf’s Head Bay who may know the fate of the boy. Then abruptly, the stranger vanishes.

Jeremy's search for answers leads him back to the Lady Caroline, where the peculiar damage to her wooden hull near the bow, and Travis’ torn lifejacket left behind on the deck rekindles a thought—convincing him to believe Matthew.

Determined to unravel the truth of their missing brother—and find the mysterious stranger, Jeremy and Matthew, along with their friends, will all risk their lives making a perilous journey.

About the Author

Jeffery Boyd was born in Homestead, Florida. After growing up in Traverse City, in Northern Michigan, the inspiration for his action/adventure novels, he headed to Miami, Florida. He eventually made his way farther south down U.S. 1 to Islamorada in the tropical Florida Keys. Today Boyd divides his time between Traverse City and Islamorada, with his partner and their cat, Simon, living the island life while pursuing his passion for writing his Wolf’s Head Bay mystery thrillers.
