About the Author

James Godbold soloed his first airplane at the age fourteen. He completed Navy flight training at nineteen. He married his high school sweetheart, Joy Elaine Marsalis. They have three children and eight grandchildren.

Godbold retired as a full Colonel in the USMC Reserve and lives with Joy in Tomball, Texas.
