About the Book

Everyone in the 309, Stand Up Now, and Hear Me Rhyme is a new collection of poetry that Curt Tagtmeier created in about two months. The absolute force and speed in which this was written became a tour de force. He wanted it to completely blow you away because that is what good poetry does to you. Good poetry will knock you straight on your ass without a second thought and not even think about extending its hand to help you up. There are about 75 poems in this collection, some funny, some serious, some sad, some enlightening, and some may become different things to different people. Please do not look for a certain rhyme or rhythm to the poetry in this collection because the ghosts of the past are dead and Mr. Tagtmeier is here alive and breathing. Many of these poems refer to love and what is so wrong with that. Let this poetry collection show you that we can still remain sweet, understanding, loving, caring human beings. Too long has this poet sat in the corner sipping a drink saying nothing. He wanted to stand up on the bar and shout out to the world, "Alright, I have lived here for a few years and this is what I have seen."
