About the Author

Catherine (Kitty) McShane is an indomitable woman who in her 86 years has conquered many seas of interest. Mate, mother, galley slave, entrepreneur (owner of a gourmet food shop and floral design business), inveterate seeker of knowledge, Kitty's abilities to stay afloat in any situation have kept her ship shape in all arenas of life. She has had many an opportunity to critique other chefs on ships far larger than the MeriMacs as she and her husband/captain, Franklin, shared many cruise ship trips throughout their life voyages.
