About the Author

Born New York City, and currently residing in California, Evelyn Barnett has been a Peace Corps Volunteer, worked at the Bronx Zoo, and has been a teacher of the blind. A graduate of Columbia Teachers College, she lives on a ranch in the Sierra foothills, with her husband, son, and numerous pets.
