About the Book

Educators: "It is time we stand for something, lest we fall for anything", as past demands on education have exhibited. This book is intended to offer a perspective of where education is; how it got there and to offer a new Portrait of Education. The contention is to regain the trust of our students and reestablish a relationship with them using the expertise of educators, who have been trained in how we learn, child development and enable them to remove "VIOLENCE" from the schools! Parents, attorneys, doctors, politicians, and other members of a school's community should be involved in their areas of expertise aiding educators in the reform of education.

About the Author

B.S. Degree 1958; M.Ed. 1964, Ed.D. 1990. Forty two years in education at all levels as a teacher (Math & Science), Principal at four unique large Elementary Schools, Assistant Principal at Middle School Level, Field Representative with Maryland State Teachers Association and NEA gaining state and national perspectives of education. Training from New Directions-Project 21 in Delaware; Observing Dimensions of Learning from its author, John L. Brown; and in Enhancing Professional Practice?A Framework for Teaching from its author, Charlotte Danielson.
