About the Book

Diana is tired of her boring life routine. She is a freshman at a new high school, where she meets a junior named Mike. Her parents are strict and she is not even allowed to date, but after meeting Mike, she quickly becomes his girlfriend. Then she meets a new girl in school named Jessica who seems to be running away from the past. They immediately become friends, but then Diana turns on her because she is paranoid that Jessica is after Mike. She even stops talking to her long-time best friends, Caren, Jennifer, and Adele. The only person she talks to is her boyfriend, who is secretly mentally ill and thinks Diana is his dead ex-girlfriend, Valerie. No one notices that he is turning crazy, except for his sister, Wanton, though. Trying to gain a little peace and quiet, Diana and Mike head to a secluded area where Diana finally learns the real truth about Mike.

About the Author

Hoa Xuan Hoang was born on October 25, 1983 in New Orleans, Louisiana. At a young age, her family moved to Tampa, Florida. She graduated with honors from Walter L. Sickles High School and is currently attending Florida State University, but is still undecided on a major.
