About the Author
Sax Rohmer (1883-1959), aka Arthur Henry Sarsfield Ward, was born in Birmingham, England to Irish parents. He began his writing career at age 20 with the publication of “The Mysterious Mummy?in Pearson’s Magazine (1903). The Insidious Dr. Fu Manchu, his first Fu Manchu book, was first published in England in 1912 as The Mystery of Dr. Fu Manchu. Dozens of sequels followed. Even after his death, a collection of his short stories was published (1976). He continues to be remembered in the pages of amateur journals and websites.
