The gray moon
ifted up her face
and smiled
into the purple black abyss.

The still earth yawned;
her noisy seas belched,
until
all was quiet once again.

the little boy fell asleep.

About the Author

Mr. Walker was born in Washington, D.C. and started writing when he was fifteen. He’s written three plays and is working on a non-fiction book, a children’s book and a travel log. Writers Club Press published his short story book, Winston Churchill’s American Cousin and Other Tales in 2001.
