About the Author

Lila Wertsbaugh Wolvin was born in York County, Nebraska on a small farm. She only graduated from the 8th grade, as was common in those days, and went on to educate herself, as is evident from her writing style and the way she describes things in extremely accurate detail. She has never written anything before that was for publication, but this book was a life-long dream as something she could pass on to her grandchildren and all future generations.
