About the Book

One Widow’s Saga is the true story of a mother who, with her small son, joyously welcomed her husband home after an absence of thirty-five months serving in World War II. They settled happily into a loving family life and had two more children. Life was going smoothly until 1957, when, out of the blue, her husband died of a heart attack. After three years of agonizing and praying, she decided to return to school, become a teacher, and support her family. Drawing from her experiences as a dedicated teacher, mother, and church woman, Mrs. Adcock wrote this book as a testimony to God and His goodness.

About the Author

Jewel C. Adcock, a native of Mississippi, grew up during the Great Depression. At age thirty-six, she lost her husband to a massive heart attack. Following three years of indecision, she returned to school, and eventually earned three college degrees. She is now a noted speaker and a world-traveler, having recently visited the Holy Land.
