About the Author

I began writing short stories at age nine to entertain the children in my old neighborhood of Detroit, Michigan. I moved to Dallas, Texas at age twelve and by fourteen, my poetry evolved and had taken on a more amplifying approach. Yesterday, Today, Tomorrow was the first self-encouraging poem that I had ever written and has stayed with me throughout life. I felt motivated to write inspirational poetry to express the spiritual blessings in life, and to encourage others with words of faith and love. The need to express the beauty in life that is full of Christ’s love and the desire to encourage others, is the driving force behind my dream of being a poet today.
