About the Author

H. John Parsaie earned his Ph.D. in Civil Engineering from the University of Berkley in Southfield Michigan. He has more than ten years of experience in the field of construction, quality control, consulting and services. Dr. Parsaie has written, edited and published several books, papers and articles on engineering and management in various technical magazines including a four-part textbook series entitled Construction Materials for Civil & Structural Engineering, which covers concrete, soils, steel, and plastics and a manual entitled Training and Reference Manual for Special Inspectors.
