About the Author

Cheryl Jean (Protin) Hancock began her writing career at the age of twelve writing poetry, short stories, and songs for her own enjoyment and had kept with it ever since. A graduate of The University of Georgia, Mrs. Hancock is a high school English teacher in Athens, Georgia where she lives with her two beautiful children, Mara, age three, and Derek, age nine. It was her love of her children and her personal experience of searching book shelves for a better knowledge of her pregnancies that prompted her to write this book and make available to readers her and others' experiences. "Pregnancy can be frightening, but in here, you have friends." Mrs. Hancock is also the author of two career manuals published by Random House's LearningExpress. She states, "It is my love of writing that keeps me alive, no matter what my subject matter."
