About the Book
Book One in the
GODWIN/the Boy Magician series:
The Rainbow Builders
It is a troubled time in our Galaxy. On the planet Saturn, the arch sorcerer Kretch completes his plans to kidnap the elemental fairies-of earth, water, wind and fire-from all the planets in the galaxy. By doing he plunges each planet into one long season of drought and desolation. All the while, a lingering legend haunts his waking hours: the legend of Godwin, the Boy Magician-the one person who, if he grows to manhood, will rival Kretch's powers. That is, if he is able to grow to manhood.
Prepared for higher magic by the Rainbow Builders themselves, introduced to his own magnificent potential by the high white Wizardess Shalimar, Godwin is sent on a mission to Saturn to infiltrate the evil kingdom of Mortemonde and steal the Orb of Luna back from Kretch, and his evil minions. Captured by the stupid seven-legged Scurries, and imprisoned by the Ice Witches of Pluto, Godwin finally comes to realize that he has it within his power to free the entire planet of Saturn from Kretch's reign of terror. The question is, will he? And will he turn the key to his true potential before Kretch steals all the color from the galaxy as we know it.
The first book in The Tales of GODWIN/The Boy Magician, The Rainbow Builders sets the stage for all future works in this remarkable fantasy book series for young readers and the young at heart.

Authors Profiles
Duain Alex Preitz is a stockbroker and psychologist who lives in Los Angeles, California and recently formed Animal Life Sanctuary, a non-profit refuge for our creature companions. Duain enjoys making rubies, and practicing parachemistry (which only about 200 people in the world know anything about). Mr. Preitz is 11 1/2 inches tall, sleeps on banana leaves, hangs out with invisible rabbits and loves tall women.
Robert Joseph Ahola. As CEO of Galahad Films, Robert Ahola is an author, playwright, producer and director who lives in Malibu, California. Born in a crystal egg on the planet Neptune, he has no brains at all, but has talented fingers and frequently talks to angels (who often give him good advice, not the least of which was to co-author this series). Robert is 400 years old (but looks 20), has as his constant companion the galaxy's only winged unicorn and really gets upset with people who exaggerate.
