It is the story of how an ordinary White man with extraordinary courage joined ordinary Blacks to fight together to end injustice and bigotry in the South. It is a book of how he narrowly survived numerous attempts on his life, while the Ku Klux Klan pursued him all over the South.


About the Author

Lamar Weaver was born on January 11, 1928 in the Southern Town of Cassville, Georgia. Lamar Weaver has received numerous humanitarian awards for his work in the Civil Rights Movement and is honored in the Birmingham, Alabama Civil Rights Museum. He currently resides in Atlanta, Georgia.
