About the Book

Fifteen-year-old Telly Robin watches helplessly as her best friend drowns in a small lake near the coast of present-day Oregon. Her life for the next fifteen years is plagued with memories of that fateful day. She is unable to let go of Lexie’s untimely death or her own unfortunate part in it. When her daughter is born, she begins to find a measure of peace. She meets an extraordinary man, Travis Blythe, and feels that perhaps her past will no longer continue to haunt her. Or will it? When Travis suddenly vanishes under mysterious conditions and her daughter is kidnapped practically under her nose, her life once again is turned upside down. Her love for her daughter, however, forces her to find an inner strength she wasn’t aware she possessed.

In her quest for her daughter, Telly travels back to the place where her childhood friend died and discovers that her past is chillingly intertwined with her daughter’s disappearance. It becomes a race against time, both past and present, to save her, and she learns along the way the danger inherent in the inability to forgive.

About the Author

Jenny Seib graduated with a degree in English Literature in 1999. Since then, she has worked both as a writer and an editor for various organizations. She lives in the Pacific Northwest with her husband and two children. This is her first book.
