About the Author

Jan Roberts is founder and president of the Institute for Ethics & Meaning in Tampa, Florida. She is a psychotherapist, a freelance journalist and an international speaker. Her dream for creating a Community Spirit of Caring has evolved from a local grassroots effort to one that is a major participant in the international adoption of the Earth Charter: The Declaration of Interdependence, to be presented to the United Nations at The Hague in 2002.
