About the Book

There were times during the transcribing of this work, that I could actually feel the wind blow through my own hair as our heroes sped down the byways of the Deep South. Like the banker I could simply close my eyes and be lifted like a cartoon character on the wafts of lilacs, and honeysuckle. I could feel the sticky air along the mighty River, and even hear the echo of cannons roar in the background. But more importantly, I hope that in just a little way, some of the customs and concepts held high in traditional Judaism will become easier to understand and comprehend, by the non-Jewish reader.

It is our hope and outline to use this series of books to present religious activities across America in its day-to-day setting. Real people walk the aisles along with our fictional characters. It is also to the best of my knowledge the first attempt ever made to put in a modern American setting many of the concepts modern religion calls Jewish ‘apocryphal’. We hope to present what one of my Christian friends jokingly labels, as Hal Lindsey meeting Elijah in the Delta.

This series will give you a new appreciation of America and each other. That is my prayer. Shalom.
