About the Author
The author and her husband, a psychologist, live in the Rocky Mountain region with three handicapped cats and a variety of water wildlife on the lake outside their backdoor. Before becoming disabled, S. F. Birney taught grades 2-16. In addition to writing, she makes quilts for Make-A-Wish kids.
