About the Book
Just One covers the life of Bill Roble as he tries to learn why one name on the Vietnam Memorial Wall, that of his brother, Joseph Edward Roble, meant so much to so many. Throughout his younger years and into adulthood, Bill was influenced by correspondence his late brother sent while a Marine in Vietnam, as well as comments from his brother's friends and relatives.
This influence led to an enlistment in the U.S. Marine Corps, and later a meeting with many of his brother's comrades in arms all of which culminated in an attempt to retrace his brother's footsteps to Vietnam. Bill attempts to show how the loss of just one man in one war can impact many lives. Just One attempts to give the reader a new perspective on the ideals of the men and women that fought in Vietnam, as well as show how their lives impact some of us even today.
