Stephen Slade Tien, Ph.D. is a practicing Zen psychoanalyst. Educated at Harvard, C.U.N.Y. and New York University, his writings include: "The Self in Transformation," "Psychogenesis: A Theory of Perinatal Experience" and "Re-Visioning Psyche." The son of immigrants from China and England, he lives in Ithaca, NY with his wife and children.
