About the Book

The story of an unlikely hero in his trip to the South after living in the North for a while. His encounter with the world of drug trafficking, corruption, and neglect of the displaced peasants of Mexico. An account of the interconnectedness that exist between the poor South and the affluent North and the role of history in explaining the problems of today.

About the Author

Santiago Salomon was born and raised in Mexico. He now lives in Los Angeles, where he teaches in a public elementary school.
