About the Book

A compendium of forty-eight stories and some verse which should delight all those are fortunate enough to receive it. The variety of weird and wonderful characters will be long remembered and the book will be reread many times. It is a fictional work, often based on characters that have enlivened history or passed through my life, but most of them are creatures of dreams and imagination.

About the Author

Roy Buckle was born in a village on the border between the Congo and Northern Rhodesia in 1931. He worked as an accountant for most of his life, but at every opportunity he used to go exploring, hunting, fishing, and prospecting. When he left the wild environment of his earlier years, he took up writing and this became his passion. He has drawn from his experiences, and from the multitude of weird and wonderful characters that have enriched his life, to produce the stories that make up this compendium of short stories which he calls Africans and Aliens. At present he has two more books nearing completion.
